Dear Church Family,

We hope you are well and that you are managing to keep you and your loved ones safe. We are currently living through a very strange time, but we are sure that together we will all get through this as best as we can.

The Vicar, Churchwardens and Treasurer regularly meet online via Zoom to discuss various aspects of our church life. The Standing Committee has also now been able to meet regularly, and we hope that we will soon be able to arrange for the PCC to meet via Zoom too.

WORSHIP

The Church is now open for Private prayer every Wednesday from 2pm until 4pm. You do not need to book and you will be directed to the Lady Chapel when entering the Church. Please make sure that you follow the relevant current government public health guidelines.
We now have a 10am said Sunday Communion Service. To book yourself onto a service please use the following link http://booking.greatburstead-church.co.uk. When you arrive you will be directed to your seat. Please do not turn up unless you have booked yourself into a service, and, as with all activities within the Church, please follow the relevant current government public health guidelines.

Our online services are available every Sunday and are sent out via our newsletter - you can sign up to this on the front of the website. You can view all of our services and sermons on our YouTube page here: https://greatburstead-church.co.uk/youtube

PRAYER AND LITURGY
A new Church of England page has been created containing:

  • Prayers and intercessions for personal or group use
  • Special prayers for use if it isn’t possible to meet in church
  • A simple form of prayer for the morning and evening, which can be downloaded, printed, and shared with those remaining at home or who are unable to access the Internet.

These resources are offered to help those who are struggling to find words at this difficult and stressful time, and to enable Christians to worship in solidarity with one another even if it is not possible to gather in church.

Please click here for another link to a spiritual communion order.

Do keep yourself safe, do keep praying and please be assured that we will, by God’s grace, get through this.

God Bless

Fr Michael – Vicar
Thom Simons – Churchwarden
Derek Oakley – Churchwarden
Mary Edwards – Treasurer
